Tonight, BLS 22-53 responded to the southern portion of Readington for a fall victim. After making patient contact, crews determined the patient needed ALS (Advance Life Support) and prompt transportation to a trauma center. Paramedics from Hunterdon Medical Center were requested. Due to the distance to the nearest trauma center, a helicopter was requested. A landing zone was set up at Summer Road Park. Since Friday, Whitehouse Rescue has had dozens of responses ranging from numerous traffic accidents to medical emergencies. This morning Rescue BLS 22-55, 22-52, Heavy Rescue 22-5 and Engine 22-1 handled a Motor Vehicle accident on Route 22 near Old Highway 28. 5 patients were evaluated by EMS with 3 transported to local hospitals. BLS 22-53 and BLS 22-52 handled another accident on Route 78 both ambulances were committed to handling the first accident on Route 22. A congratulations to our own Ryan Levison as he had his Eagle Scout ceremony today. In addition to being an Eagle Scout, Ryan is a very active member in our organization.
